As an additional benefit, RIM will also give customers who purchase BlackBerry 10 smartphones the opportunity to trade up their existing BlackBerry Enterprise Server licenses for free until December 31 2013.
“We remain committed to our enterprise customers and want to provide them with a head start on understanding the power of BlackBerry 10 and preparing their existing environments for the new mobile computing platform,” said Bryan Lee, senior director of Enterprise at RIM. “The BlackBerry 10 Ready Program gives customers access to a variety of services, information, tools, and special offers to help ease their transition to BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10.”
RIM has been heavily promoting the enterprise features of BlackBerry 10, which is seen as vital to RIM’s hopes for a recovery. the company has seen its share of the smartphone market slide in recent years, as businesses and consumers defect to rivals such as iOS and Android.
